Keenspace Monthly is a community driven project. With you fine folks being the community. So why not help drive it a bit?
We are currently looking for more writers to help make out monthly issues a tad beefier. Anyone is welcome to join in on the festivities. Even though this is a Keenspace thing it is not limited to 'Spacers only by any means. If you can type you can write an article for us. We do have some standards so don't write an article about poo in l33t and expect it to be in the next issue though...
We are currently in need of full time writers and freelancers. A full time writer is expected to submit at least one article per month. Because not many can do this you can simply choose to be a freelancer. A freelacer may not appear on the credits page but is just as loved. If you have an article one month, but ran dry the next? No worries, the freelancer can come and go as they please.
We are also looking for a few good editors. When an article is submitted it will be forwarded to an editor, you, to be checked for proper spelling and grammar. In the event the writer is not a native English speaker please take care to translate as best you can, without altering the meaning of the message. Thus is the life of the editor. All editors will get a spot on the credits page even if they may not get any work the first few months.. (it's kinda slow right now)
Reviewers and interviewers are also needed. The reviewer gets to go out and read a webcomic, and review it until it begs for mercy. (with the creators permission of course) The interviewer gets to kidnap a comicker, strap em to the chair, and grill them for info about the underbelly of the webcomic scene. Who you interview and about what is up to you. Want to ask them what it's like to do a daily strip? Or perhaps what the view is like from up top? You can do it.
If you would like to participate but can't decide on a specific position we'll just toss you in as a writer that does other stuff too. Or freelancer that get's a spot on the credits page? Up to you really. And up to how invloved you get. Really just about everyone who wants it can be on the credits page as long as they toss me a PM with the info.
If you would like to become involved with the Newsletter it's as easy as registering with the forums and tossing a private message to either me or Spriteville. We can add you to the member group that has accses to the writer's forum and you can join the festivities. (because it's cool to have a private forum. And the public won't see potential spoilers for next month)
Also, if you are already involved with the Newsletter please register and PM me so I can give you accsess to the writers forum. (even though that is under construction as welll...)
And my apologies for any bad spelling and grammar in this post. I made this while runnig on very little sleep... (don't ask)
